This article will show how to upgrade your organization's phishing simulations if you're using a Google Workspace. There is a video guide with text and image instructions below.
IMPORTANT: You need to make sure that the email address you are logged into Upfort with is the same as the one you use to log in to Google. This email address needs to hold Global Admin permissions in your Google Workspace.

- Head to the Phishing Sims page of your Admin Portal.
- Click on Edit Settings.
- Select Gmail.
- Click Next.
- Connect to your Google Account by clicking the link in Step 1.
- Once connected, you'll be directed to your Google Workspace. Click on "Edit" on the right of the Upfort permission settings.
- With the "Edit scopes" window open, navigate back to your Upfort Admin Portal and copy the new OAuth scopes.
- Paste this into the "OAuth scopes" field in the "Edit scopes" window on Google.
- Click "Authorize".
- Once the configuration is saved, a success message will appear at the bottom of the screen.
- Head back to your Upfort Admin Portal and click on "Validate".
- You'll see a loading screen when validating.
- Once verified, you'll receive an email to confirm.
- Once you have received this email, you can reload your browser, and your Simulations will be updated, and you'll be able to edit the settings.
- Now that you have updated your Phishing Simulations, you can also install the new version of Inbox Defender with one click by heading to the Inbox Defender tab of your Admin Portal (If you haven't already!)
