What is this feature?
When active, the Browser Firewall scans the URL as a user navigates to a new webpage. If the site is reported to contain danger, such as malicious software or phishing attempts, the page will be redirected with further details. The list of reported sites is updated with new sites on a daily basis.
Why is this important?
Roughly 10% of all sites contain malicious content. With just one inappropriate click, your entire company’s network could be compromised.
How do I use this feature?
Navigate to the Browser Firewall tab in the Administrator Dashboard and press the toggle on to activate the Browser Firewall for your group.
Once activated for the group, head to these links for a guide to install the Browser Firewall on Chrome, Edge, or Firefox.
Got a website that's being blocked by the Harmful Site Scanner that shouldn't be?
Sometimes websites will have been flagged as malicious incorrectly. If that's the case, you may find that your users are being redirected by the Harmful Site Scanner when the website is not malicious.
You can prevent this from happening repeatedly by adding the webpage in question to your Allow List. For a full guide on how to do this, head to How to manage your content filter for your organization
