What actions is the Browser Firewall taking?
When you navigate to a website, the Browser Firewall matches the URL against our database of known malicious webpages. If there is a match, we will block the website and/or attempt to stop any downloads that the site may have attempted.
What permissions am I granting Upfort when I install the Browser Firewall?
The Browser Firewall will have permission to:
- View your browsing history
- Manage your downloads
Why does the Browser Firewall require these permissions?
This data is required to allow the tool to analyze the websites that are being visited, assess the level of risk against previous reports of malicious content, check the URL against any webpages set to be blocked by your account admin via the content filter, and track any potentially malicious downloads made from that page.
What data is the Browser Firewall collecting?
Upfort only collects essential data to allow the Browser Firewall to operate effectively. This data is outlined in your Browser's store, along with our declaration that your data is:
- Not being sold to third parties, outside of the approved use cases
- Not being used or transferred for purposes that are unrelated to the item's core functionality
- Not being used or transferred to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes
If you have any questions about how your data is handled, please reference our Privacy Policy
